Grade 9 - Math

Curriculum is designed to provide comprehensive coverage for ICSE, CBSE, IB & IGCSE boards and various Olympiads.

Section 1 - Academic

1. Pure Arithmetic: Basic operations with numbers including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as concepts like fractions, decimals, and percentages.
2. Commercial Mathematics: Math applied to business and finance, including topics like profit and loss, interest calculations, and discounts.
3. Algebra: Study of symbols and rules for manipulating these symbols to solve equations and express mathematical relationships 
4. Geometry: Study of shapes, sizes, and properties of figures and spaces, including concepts like angles, lines, and polygons.
5. Coordinate Geometry - Gradient: Analysis of geometric figures using a coordinate system, focusing on the slope (gradient) of lines and their equations.
6. Algebraic Equations and Inequalities: Solving equations and inequalities involving variables, including linear and nonlinear forms.
7. Quadratic Equations: Polynomial equations of the form and methods for solving them (factoring, quadratic formula).
8. Surds: Mathematical expressions involving roots that cannot be simplified to remove the root .
9. Trigonometry: Study of the relationships between the angles and sides of triangles, including functions like sine, cosine, and tangent.
10. Circle Geometry & Theorem: Study of properties and theorems related to circles, including theorems about chords, tangents, and angles.
11. Area: Measurement of the space contained within a shape, such as rectangles, triangles, and circles.
12. Volume: Measurement of the space contained within a three-dimensional object, such as cubes, spheres, and cylinders.

Section 2 - Olympiad

1. Series Completion, Alphanumeric: Identifying and completing patterns or sequences involving numbers and letters.
2. Analogy: Finding relationships between pairs of items or concepts and applying the same relationship to other pairs.
3. Classification: Grouping items based on shared attributes or characteristics.
4. Coding-Decoding: Translating or interpreting coded messages using specified rules or patterns.
5. Blood Relation: Determining relationships between family members based on given information.
6. Puzzle Test: Solving complex problems or brain teasers that require logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
7. Sequential Output Tracing: Analysing and determining the output of a sequence of operations or instructions, often used in programming contexts.
8. Direction Sense Test: Understanding and interpreting directions to solve problems related to navigation and positioning.
9. Logical Venn Diagrams: Using Venn diagrams to represent and analyze relationships between different sets and their intersections.
10. Alphabet Test: Problems involving the arrangement, manipulation, or interpretation of letters in the alphabet.
11. Ranking: Determining the order or position of items or individuals based on given criteria or conditions.
12. Mathematical Operations: Applying basic arithmetic operations and advanced calculations to solve mathematical problems.
13. Inserting the Missing Character: Identifying and placing the correct character or symbol in a sequence to complete a pattern or solve a problem.
